The First 48
As far as I'm concerned any show that opens with the statement "viewer discretion is advised" is worth watching at least once. If you haven't seen it, 'The First 48' is like 'Cops' but without a cool theme song, and is a bit more intense in that it follows homicide detectives during the first 48 hours of 'real world' homicide investigations. Channel 7, Wednesday nights, 11pm. One of the detectives looks like a clone of that Andy Sippowitz (however the hell it's spelt) character from NYPD Blue.
In other news, my fight against morbid obesity has hit a road block, I seem to be stuck on 97kgs. I think I deserve my own 'Shock Docs' special. Which reminds me, where the hell did 'Shock Docs' go? Two weeks ago the TV guide promised a 'Shock Docs' episode dedicated to people who had undergone operations, only to have surgeons leave their surgical instruments behind. THE TV GUIDE LIED!!! Looks like 'Shock Docs' has been canned.
