On 23 November 2004, the Virgin Mary grilled cheese sandwich was sold for $28,000 in an eBay auction. In April 2006, in Bogota, Colombia, Dorely Rojas' son-in-law noticed an overspill of hot chocolate from his mug. The overspill had created an unusual pattern that Rojas believed resembled Jesus Christ. There are hundreds of similar accounts whereby people uncover religious imagery in food, household appliances and basically any item imaginable.
This phenomenon is known as "religious pareidolia" which according to trusty wikipedia is the perception of a pattern where none is intended involving religious themes. What sparked my interest in religious pareidolia you ask? Well, put simply it was a picture of a dogs butt...

Tell me... what do you see? It's like a magic eye puzzle isn't it?
