The more cynical members of the community may view this post as a blatant attempt by me to secure lots of cool free HP stuff. To be fair, the cynical members of the community would be spot on.

Today’s mission was simple. To win a load of HP gear, including a digital camera I had to make a short video (I’m going to call it a short art house film). The video had to address the issue of why I wanted free HP stuff.

My budget for this short film was $0. In terms of resources I was light on. I do have a HP laptop that has a built in webcam, and although it’s decent, it’s hardly built to produce George Lucas style results. In terms of acting talent, I was also lacking. With no budget to hire actors or screen writers, producing a short film that would capture the public’s imagination would be difficult.

The following film features stark footage that demands a great deal from the viewer. Visually I was trying to capture the vibe of David Fincher, without any of the over indulgence of say… MICHAEL MANN! Screw you Michael Mann! Miami Vice was terrible, terrible, and Bean Bag Boy and I demand compensation!! Anyway, sorry... So here is my cinematic masterpiece in all its glory!

Actually, now I've watched it back, it's kinda creepy.

LEAVE A RESPONSE

I like it when people leave comments. It makes me feel warm inside. What I don't like is when I receive comments from people with robot sounding names like "free web hosting" or "North Carolina Real Estate". Names like these will trigger the SPAM alarm at Pickles HQ, and likely get deleted. In summary, comments that look like an attempt to do nothing more than build back links will be deleted. Thanks for your understanding ~ swollenpickles.
