As far as soap operas go, I guess they don't come any bigger than Days of our Lives (or DOOL as web fans call it). I don't know a great deal about DOOL, and wouldn't really consider myself a fan. What I do know, courtesy of today's sponser Soap.com, is that DOOL is facing an uncertain future. The Soap.com site provides a whole heap of Days of our Lives updates, spoilers and news. I didn't realise this until I did a search on the show for the purposes of this post, but DOOL has been running since November 8, 1965! Naturally a show that has run for that amount of time builds up its fair share of odd trivia. If anything that is what Soap.com is lacking - bizarre trivia. Here are a couple of weird things about Days of our Lives that I did not know until today.

• No fewer than thirty-six characters have been "brought back" from the dead on DOOL;
• John Aniston (who plays Victor Kiriakis) is the real-life father of Jennifer Aniston;
• Hope hates bananas, and Bo hates mustard;
• Nicole Walker's porn name was Misty Circle.

Misty Circle? What the...? I'm not sure but didn't someone on DOOL become possessed by the devil? How many serial killers have there been on DOOL? Has anyone from DOOL gone on to a decent acting career? These are all things Soap.com need to answer and get up on their site ASAP.
