Banned in China

Swollen Pickles has been banned in China! This is the biggest news in Swollen Pickles history. It's even bigger than that one time I was banned from Digg!

URL blocked

I visited greatfirewallofchina.org, a site that claims to test, in real time, whether or not a URL is 'viewable' (or censored) in China. According to that site, Swollen Pickles has made it. This is really quite unfortunate. China has one of the largest populations in the world, and if I'm banned their, then I'm really cutting out a major percentage of my potential readership.

two dogs humpingPerhaps it was the picture of the two dogs humping that got me banned? Or maybe it was the posts about Paris Hilton? Or just maybe it is my affiliation with
Blankshooting?

    man, china bans a lot of things … try to search for falun goong (sic?) there … good luck …

    Sorry to disappoint you, but it seems to be working fine here in Langfang (Hebei, China).

    Your post is 9 months old, so maybe you’ve been un-blocked. Have you been good this year? :)

    Umm, as this year is only 2 days old, you may very well have been good.. Of course I meant last year, which may be another story! :)

    I must have been good!! :D I guess it’s been 9 months since I posted this and the picture of the two dogs humping, so maybe I’m out on good behaviour?
