Goal Update – Results to end of March 2007
Well the whole goal idea only started mid March so it's early days at the moment. But just so I get in the habit, here is the report for the month of March (although under some areas there is not a lot to report). All $ are in US currency.
1. Develop Swollen Pickles into a website that can generate $200 per month.
For the month of March Swollen Pickles just snuck past the $70US mark. Not very impressive but and improvement on the two previous months ($68 in Feb and $60 in Jan). I've ramped up the PayPerPosts over the last week so that should boost things a little. Kontera came online halfway through March and hopefully that starts to pay off a little more as time goes on. In the next month or two I'm hoping to expand the number of revenue streams so that I'm not putting all my eggs into the one basket. With AGLOCO expected to come online in April this may help a little as well. To give you an idea of where the revenue for March came from here is a percentage breakdown by source. Google Adsense (25%) PayPerPost (67%) Kontera (8%).
2. Develop Swollen Pickles to the point where it receives 15,000 unique visits per month.
This goal is important if I have any hope of achieving goal no.1. There were 5,950 unique visits to Swollen Pickles in March, up by almost 2,000 (4,100) in February. Hopefully this trend continues.
3. Develop digitalburn.org into a website that can generate $30 per month.
A feeble March, with a grand total of $1.72 for the month. Clearly disappointing.
4. Develop digitalburn.org to the point where it receives 7,500 unique visits per month.
Another feeble effort, 243 unique visitors for the month. Looking to smash those figures in April.
5. Achieve my goal weight of 80kgs, which would give me a BMI within the “normal†range.
Well, jumped on the scales this morning and hit it for the same weight as last time. I need to develop an action plan if I'm going to see any change. Need to look in to some weight benches I think.
6. Buy an Xbox 360 (yes I know, counterproductive to no.5, but I need one!).
Down the priority list right now, may review this goal in the future.
7. Write and record three new songs including lyrics and vocals.
Been messing around with a nice riff, but no song as come out of it yet.
