Personally I couldn't care less if Kumiko is man, woman or creature from outer space. Deliberately misrepresenting yourself and misleading your readers is a 'no no' as far as I'm concerned, particularly if you want to position yourself as a credible source of information. This is the reason that online based business or revenue generation has a 'sleazy' image for a lot of the general population. Hypothetically, you visit a young web entrepreneurs blog. He/she posts about how they have personally made X amount of money online. They publish pictures of themselves with their BMW 7 series or lounging by their pool. Next it's revealed that they don't own a BMW or a mansion with a pool, they borrowed them for a day to have a couple of photos taken, truth is, they don't make much more than you. Now, you've read the blog for it's content, which you had thought was good. Reading the blog now do you view it as credible? Do you trust the source? Or do you write the blog off as a tacky piece of "online marketing"? I probably did miss the point, but I guess the title “Kumiko Revealed (interview)” suggested that something would be ‘revealed’.

Personally I couldn’t care less if Kumiko is man, woman or creature from outer space. Deliberately misrepresenting yourself and misleading your readers is a ‘no no’ as far as I’m concerned, particularly if you want to position yourself as a credible source of information.

This is the reason that online based business or revenue generation has a ’sleazy’ image for a lot of the general population.
