It has come to my attention that Swollen Pickles has become less 'pimped' and more 'whore'd' of late. This administration agrees. Whilst AuctionAds and Adsense are cool, they are taking up a lot of page real estate. They fact that neither are super earners on this site might see both of those programs scaled back a bit. I might try a 'less is more' philosophy perhaps.

There is a fine line between monetizing a site and whoring. Unfortunately it would seem I have taken a running jump over that line. I'm currently in the process of developing a new improved theme for Swollen Pickles that will herald a new world order.

I've adopted a new theme for my music production site which I think is pretty cool. It's doing something strange to the objects in the side bars. The theme comes from Small Potato at WPDesigner.com. If you have a site running on Wordpress check out his site because, in my opinion, he offers some of the highest quality free Wordpress themes currently available.

Here is an online 'pop-up' book for nerds. Takes you back doesn't it? There aren't enough pop-up books in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Hi, I’m reading you via the Australian Blogs Community at Bumpzee, on the RSS feed.

I just blogged about ads and blogs today. I do think there is a balance to be found between ads and blogging.. ;)

I checked out digitalburn. Pretty cool! I’ve been procrastinating an install of Reason on my new computer. Now I have an excuse!

Thanks Wormbrain - Actually that theme seems to work well in Firefox but just noticed it’s a little strange in explorer.
Reason is an awesome package. Lots of flexibility. If I lost all my recording stuff, Reason would be one of the first things I’d pick up again.

I like it when people leave comments. It makes me feel warm inside. What I don't like is when I receive comments from people with robot sounding names like "free web hosting" or "North Carolina Real Estate". Names like these will trigger the SPAM alarm at Pickles HQ, and likely get deleted. In summary, comments that look like an attempt to do nothing more than build back links will be deleted. Thanks for your understanding ~ swollenpickles.
