The Eclectolink Experiment

If you've been here before, you may remember that a few weeks ago I jumped aboard the Viralink bandwagon, wondering if it would work or not. A few weeks on, I can say that the results were quite good. I noticed a definite increase in the number of back links to this site, and hopefully I'll see the benefits of that at the next Google page rank update.

Based on the success of the Viralink experiment, I got to thinking. Wouldn't the Viralink concept be good if it used random words as the anchor text, rather than an asterisk? Seeing as though I'm a random person, I generated 100 random words using an online random word generator.

Rather than having everyone link using '*' as the anchor text, this concept allows people to select a random word. What does this mean? It gives you're site the opportunity to climb the Google search results ladder. Who wouldn't want to rate number one in organic search results for a term such as quibble or pacifier?

Below is a matrix of 100 randomly generated words, I have already added a link to my blog to one of the random words. All you need to do is copy and paste the matrix into your blog and add your own link to one of the other vacant words, and then tell others to do exactly the same!

Super added bonus:
The first 20 people that send me a ping back, after they've added the Eclectolink to their site, will be added to the matrix above. This then means that anyone that copies the grid from here will also be linking to your site.

So there you have it, spread the random link love. This may take off, or it may totally tank, but you best be quick if you want to lock in your random word claim. Hats off to Andy Coates from whom I adapted this concept.

EDIT: Don't forget to send me the ping back or leave a comment here once you've added the matrix.
