I really am a sucker for this reciprocal linking thing. Not only do they work, but I've also found some interesting blogs as a results. I discovered the Reciprocal Review Carousel whilst researching the whole Viralink phenomenon. I found the Carousel to be an interesting concept and could see how it would be of value in terms of building backlinks as well as promoting your blog.

The version of the Carousel that I copied looked like someone had played around with a bit too much, so I took that version, and kept the two reviews (the last two in the list) that are the closest to the 'source' of the thing I could find. I then used the remaining eight positions to review blogs that have helped me out along the way. I listed 'Swollen Pickles' as the reviewer for the eight reviews I did, but only linked here once, cause I didn't want to get greedy. Plus that might have canceled out any good karma I may have accrued through this! :P

So without further or do, here is the Reciprocal Review Carousel...

During my annual performance reviews, I realised this post just never took off. So sad.

This will work out much better if you create a master list instead of the rolling 10.

This one I like. I may put this into one of my existing posts, but these reviews go further than the regular link-trains and offer some informative info. Good stuff.

Thanks Coolio. That’s what I like most about this concept. It’s not just “back links”, but its also something that is potentially interesting for visitors.
