The trials of a Super Hero
Being a Super Hero doesn't necessarily mean that you're a sure fire deal with the ladies... nudge nudge, wink wink, say no more... check out the educational public service announcement below for further information.
Speaking of superheroes, I read a story on Nine MSN just now about movie producer Avi Arad (the guy behind the X-Men movies and Fantastic Four), where he discussed some of his future comic book projects. Here are the key pieces of information:
Arad has more than 10 films based on comics on his production slate, including Captain America, The Avengers, Thor, The Punisher 2, Ant-Man, Iron Fist and two spin-offs of the X-Men films, Wolverine (starring Hugh Jackman) and Magneto.
Arad would not name the films he planned to shoot in Australia, but he did reveal he was attempting to hire an Australian director for one of the movies.
He declined to say the director's name, but there has been speculation Australian director Alex Proyas was being wooed to direct the film adaptation of another Arad project, Silver Surfer.
The Silver Surfer was introduced to film fans this year in the latest Fantastic Four film.
Personally, I'm keen to see all of them, although Punisher 2 has got me worried since I read Tom Jane has taken himself out of the picture.
Just please don't get Uwe Boll involved! The world needs him involved in another super hero movie like I need a freakin' ass rash.

I read about a few of these new comic book movies coming the next few years – I think time has passed for comic based movies, time for some original stuff.
