I'm not sure whether many people have picked up on this story or not, but Hyundai have come out in the last couple of days to say that they will be removing some safety features from the Santa Fe models. Where stability control and side airbags were once standard across their Santa Fe range, now they aren't. You can read the full story about Hyundai's disgraceful decision here.
Effectively Hyundai are cutting costs, to maximize profits, with the understanding that in doing so, they are placing their customers at increased risk.
