If you scroll down the page, you might notice the "BlogRush" widget toward the bottom right. BlogRush is a blog syndication network that gives you the opportunity for some free advertising. Basically BlogRush acts like a traffic exchange program.
Here's a basic summary of how it works. I post the widget on my blog. It displays headlines to latest posts from other blogs in the network. In return, headlines from my blog are posted on other site in the network that are also displaying the widget. Not really a ground breaking idea, but the BlogRush site does look very Web 2.0!
I'm interested to see if this actually brings in any traffic. On the plus side, if it does bring in any traffic, the chances are that it will be "somewhat" targeted. On the downside, another widget will no doubt increase the page load times.
BlogRush have an affiliate program although to be honest, I'm not sure what it does exactly. In any case, I'll give BlogRush a try for a while and see how it goes.
In other news, I seem to be having a bizarre Adsense day. Over 1,000 impressions so far, and a CTR of 0%. Time for a new wordpress theme I think!
In other other news, I've also just joined DealDotCom which offers a special deal on a single product each day. I'll post more about it in the near future.
