Within 15 minutes of posting my review of the Silverchair/Powderfinger gig, I noticed there was already one incoming link. I followed it, and it led to this waste of time. Same thing happened a couple of days ago with my Sarah Silverman tribute post. The slacker at 'easyproductreviews.com' posted the feed extract from that post and then even attributed it to someone else!

Here’s a quick excerpt
If you haven’t seen or heard Sarah Silverman before, then I think it’s about time you checked her out. She can be quite funny in a crude MA15+ kind of way. The clip from the Pamela Anderson Roast is a prime example. …

Who the fark is digitalinsugent??

My question is, why do people waste time putting sites together without bothering to add any original content? Obviously there must be some money in it, but who actually visits these sorts of sites, besides the bloggers that have been on the receiving end of the scraping?

At least I can rest easy knowing that if they try to rip off any images they'll get the balls! ;)

I found your link on technorati and the person i found your link on that rocker report scraper site… they get their content, at least some from digg… so i suppose if someone else posted it, they would get their name there…. hope that helps!

I think its sad that people can’t think and write for themselves, why bother setting up a website when you don’t even know how to write articles etc, find something else to do or someone else to rip off!!

    Thanks David, that makes sense.

Transit Man - the only reason I can think of is money. If there was no money in it, then people wouldn’t waste their time.

What really makes me wonder is how they get traffic to their sites? Other than the pissed off webmasters of course.

I like it when people leave comments. It makes me feel warm inside. What I don't like is when I receive comments from people with robot sounding names like "free web hosting" or "North Carolina Real Estate". Names like these will trigger the SPAM alarm at Pickles HQ, and likely get deleted. In summary, comments that look like an attempt to do nothing more than build back links will be deleted. Thanks for your understanding ~ swollenpickles.
