Well, sloppy reporting it may have been but they’ve done the White Stripes and Meg a favor – look at all the free advertising. I didn’t even know who the White Stripes were until I saw your story pickle. You’ve educated me.

Yeah, we are almost surprised when some of celebs do not try to cash in on something like this. Heh, I’ll never forget Arnold (of California) and his attempt to get attention by groping a female show host.

That is a crucial difference. Some celebs may have tried to cash in on it. It is a sad state of affairs when the news media doesn’t check out that kind of stuff.

I think the difference here is that the video in question doesn’t feature Meg White at all.

I think she is getting a bum rap. The timing is unfortunate. At least she isn’t going the Paris Hilton route and exploiting the publicity.
