Is WidgetBucks a viable AuctionAds alternative?
You may have noticed the "WidgetBucks" ads floating around on this blog over the last few hours. I'm giving them a trial run on this site and another one with the intention of using them to replace AuctionAds (if that perform that is).
How does it make you money? You earn money each time someone clicks on a WidgetBucks ad widget on your site. You can also earn money by referring people to WidgetBucks. WidgetBucks are reporting a $3-6 CPM, which is way better than what I'm seeing with Kontera or AuctionAds at the moment.
At the moment there is also another incentive to join up with WidgetBucks.
Attention, Publishers and Bloggers! When you sign-up with WidgetBucks, you'll automatically receive a $25 bonus into your account to get the ball rolling. This means you are half way to your first payout with WidgetBucks.
$25 just for joining up was reason enough for me to register. They also have an affiliate program running, so here comes the token affiliate link... drum roll...
There we go. If you're looking for an alternative to AuctionAds, it might be worth a try for you too.
I'll try to remember to report back in a week or two and see how things are progressing.

Ewww..you don’t think the WB is kinda close to the dreaded “G” ad in your post footer? You might be playing with fire there.
Site looks good, plenty of things to keep me here and reading.
Hmm… Am trying Auction Ads these days, as an alternative ad when Adsense doesnt show up (rather than PSA ads). Anyway it seems no good…
So please let us know about your WidgetBucks experience
Good point Tony – I might drop the Google ad for the time being until I see how the Widget Bucks experiment turns out.
No prob, I know of loads of people that dread to get the old “ban” email from “G” because they put all of their eggs into that one basket. I guess most don’t understand what the term “diversify” means.
