It’s like MySpace, but with revenue…
Call me a late adopter, but I finally decided it was time to check out Yuwie. What is it? It's kinda like MySpace, only it also gives you the ability to also make a little cash on the side. The thing that bugged me most about MySpace was that it was taken over by advertising and the user never saw a cut of the action. So you work on your profile, write on your blog, and they get all the revenue.
In theory this is where Yuwie seems to differ. I'm not expecting to make a fortune, and at the moment I'm friendless, but I have joined up and created a profile so I'll see how it goes. Visit my Swollen Pickles profile on Yuwie, and add me as a friend. I need friends!

i finally have closure on hitman. they should just piece the first 20 mins of the movie, the gratuitous boobie shots and the last 15 mins and there’s the movie in 40 mins. meh. jay-z’s new album is okay. i like ‘roc boys’. you should get on to supreme clientele by ghostface killah. good stuff. old school! if i join a yuwie, do i get a toy inside my cyber chocolate surprise? cash money bitches!
I really had no choice in the matter. Never mind. Whenever you want out, I promise to go quietly. No alimony even. yuwie say they will make me rich!
It is amazing how many of these new “rev-share” sites there are. I think that it’s going to be the standard model for social networking sites in the future. Eventually everyone joining a social networking site will realise that their activity is creating revenue, so why can’t they get some of it?
Heaps of more news-related sites like this, too. Latest one I’ve seen is Scopical.
