What’s wrong with this ad?
Entrecard has provided me with hours of entertainment since I joined up. I've checked out a lot of new site, and found some interesting stuff. In case you aren't familiar with it, Entrecard allows you to create your own 125 x 125 pixel ad which you can place on other sites using the Entrecard widget. It's all free, and seems to be taking off quite well.
As you can imagine, the 'create your own ad' concept has seen the creation of a mixed bag of ads. Some are professional looking, some are crap, some are quirky and some are even a little disturbing. Take the following for example. Do you notice anything strange, or even a little wrong with the Entrecard below?

I've read quite a few blogs that cover the 'make money online' subject, but I've never seen one that tells you how to make money with a 13 year old boy! Surely it can't be legal? How do you make money with a 13 year old boy? So many questions I'm to afraid to ask. I'm definitely to scared to click on the ad in fear that the police will come and kick in my door.
Ok ok, I know that it is not advertising a blog focusing on how to make money online through exploiting kids, I just found the ads wording curious and/or amusing. Some things just shouldn't be read literally I guess.

I don’t feel comfortable clicking on it either… Even though I’m 99% sure it’s nothing bad or they wouldn’t expose themselves so easily… But it does have me wondering… What are they doing? Science experiments with a kid helping so it’s a kids show? Like Barney and other kids shows have kids in them … Odd…
My favorite ones are the guys who just stick a picture of their hideous greasy face on their cards like that is an incentive for people to click away on them.
You mean greased up dudes don’t do it for you?
If you advertised on it it would be:
Make money with a 13 year old, Swollen Pickles,Drop Yours. Can you say Amber Alert?
LOL! You made me type LOL!
I hate you!
I took the risk and clicked. Its harmless – some 13 yo boy giving online marketing advice. Phew, if I’d been wrong I’d have had the Feds and Interpol knocking my door down.
@Andy… Well.. I’ve got the greasy part down. One out of two isn’t bad, is it?
Still it doesn’t fill you with confidence, imagine if you clicked on it and it was what we thought it could be!! expect a call from the police very soon indead, bit of a silly idea i think, hardly good publicity!
