It'd be kind of hard to take a badass character and do a poor job in the movies with it, but it's possible... I've gotta give some credit to the movie makers trying to make movies for the lesser-hero's, because I think it'd be harder to make a movie that has an impact on people with those characters, especially considering all of the predispositions people would have regarding what the character should be.
