Swollen Pickles is back online! For the past week or so I've been unable to post, or even log in to my WordPress administration panel. After much head scratching and pleading my host managed to fix the problem for me. Apparently it had something to do with the All In One SEO plugin I'd installed. The unexpected lock out has played havoc with my goal project this month.

If nothing else, this little drama has reminded me once again about the importance of scheduling a number of posts to display in advance!

Since I haven't posted anything useful, or even not useful, lately check out this link to some very very useful WordPress Theme Hacks. Just remember to back up everything before trying these.

Now, for the scientific minded, here's a picture of the primordial soup.

Now things are up and running again, I hope to resume normal programming shortly.

When I first started SwollenPickles.com I learned very early on that there are people out there that will search long and hard in order to stumble across some Grade A celebrity camel toe. Personally, I liken it to someone who likes train spotting, ie. a strange hobby I cannot understand. Whilst I may not understand it, I'm all for giving the people what they want, and according to my statistics, what they want is camel toe.

Tyra Banks is a classy chick. The host of America's Next Top Model is glamorous, however, glamor and the camel toe are not mutually exclusive. For the amateur spotters, take a look at the snap shot below, and see if you can find the camel toe... Hint: It's subtle.

Ok ok, that was a tad disappointing, so here's a bonus music video.

If that hasn't satisfied your camel toe craving go check out the Megan Fox Camel Toe.

In case you're a Nine Inch Nails fan, or music fan in general, and haven't already heard. The latest NIN album 'Ghosts I-IV', and instrumental double album, has been released. You can download the first 9 tracks from the NIN.com now.

I've ordered the double cd set, and in doing so got the 'one time' link to download the entire album in mp3 (320kbps) format.

First impressions are that it's a solid, ambient/atmospheric collection of instrumentals, that sound like they could have quite comfortably come from the Fragile recording sessions.

The 36 track collections is available for immediate download from Amazon.com. You can download Ghosts I-IV in its entirity for $5! That's a freakin good deal!

For a moment, watching the second one day international final between Australia and India last night, you may have been forgiven for thinking you'd tuned into the football, or ice hockey.

Yes, Australia lost the match, and the final series, but the match will arguably be remember for two things. Firstly, it was cricketing legend, Adam Gilchrist's last international match, which was a sad moment for everyone.

Secondly, it'll be remembered for the massive body check (or "hip and shoulder" if you're not into ice hockey), Andrew Symonds delivered to a streaker whilst batting in the Australian innings. Besides the $6,000 fine, the streaking tool, would also be a little sore, as it looks like the equivalent of running into a brick wall.

If you missed it, check it out on YouTube quick smart, just in case it gets taken down.

Ritchie didn't need 'Snicko' or 'Hotspot' to tell the Symonds made heavy contact outside off stump. If nothing else, it might make people think twice before sledging Symonds.

Edit: Here's an action shot doing the rounds.

Rambo IV (or John Rambo) is the latest in the Rambo franchise starring Sylvester Stallone. John Rambo is a Vietnam War veteran that, in his four movies, has probably killed more people than Jack Bauer, Chuck Norris and Pee-Wee Herman combined. Rambo is not known for deep Shakespearian dialogue. He communicates mostly through a series of mumbled grunts. Rambo is a man of action.

In Rambo IV, Rambo is living out a meagre existence in Thailand, trapping snakes and fishing. He's a simple man, with simple needs, and from first impressions, he no longer needs to kill bad guys to get through the day. That all changes, obviously, when he is hired to take some missionaries into war torn Burma. The missionaries are setting out to do some good, whilst Rambo thinks the only thing they achieve is a bloody death. Unfortunately for the missionaries, Rambo is rarely wrong.

Rambo dumps the missionaries in Burma and heads back down the river to Thailand. Upon his return he finds that the missionaries have gone missing and is hired by their church to go in and bring them back. So off Rambo trots, with mercenaries in tow. From here on in, there is some fairly extreme violence, where Rambo and friends take on most of the Burmese army. The movie then lurches on to its predictable conclusion.

Make no mistake, Rambo IV is a bloody film not for the squeamish. There are beheadings, exploding heads, disembowelments, exploding bodies, limb removals, and people being fed to the pigs. At times it is a little hard to take. But perhaps that was Stallone's point, as if nothing else, it shines a spotlight on a conflict that is perhaps not all that well known or understood.

As a movie, and entertainment, Rambo IV is average at best. It's predictable, and at time plodding. It seemed to go much longer than it's relatively short running time. Stallone keeps his shirt on for the entire movie, which I found to be a blessing. The brutality involved in some scenes makes this a film hard to enjoy, and the plot is very much based on the basic connect the dots style, that the film neither works as a mindless popcorn action movie, nor a serious dramatic depiction of war.

For the statistics boffins, Rambo IV holds the record for most "kills" out of the entire Rambo series, with 236 total "kills" at an average of 2.59 "kills" per minute. This is a big increase from Rambo III which featured 132 "kills" at 1.30 "kills" per minute. For those of you that are into numbers, here's a statistical comparison of the four Rambo movies.

Rambo Movies Statistics

What conclusions do I draw from this table? I would suggest that the bottom line explains why Rambo is such a violent guy. Psychologists may argue that he just needs to relax, find a good woman and get laid or something.

Overall, I'd give Rambo IV 1.5 out of 5 pickles.

Based on recent scientific statistical research conducted by the diligent staff at the Swollen Pickles Institute for Camel Toe Research camel toe is more sought after than almost any other natural resource on the planet. Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan remain to of the most popular exponents of the camel toe, however a new contender seems to have entered the upper echelon of the camel toe world. Maria Sharapova.

The princess of womens tennis, Maria Sharapova has spawned a whole new generation of camel toe enthusiasts. I'm informed by my trusty advisors that tennis has always been a huge source of camel toe, and the shot of Maria Sharapova below mid stroke, shows that she's no stranger to showing off some on-court toe.

February was a slightly shorter month, but fortunately it was a fairly good one in terms of me setting out to achieve some of my goals. So let us check out how things went for February 2008.

1. Develop Swollen Pickles into a website that can generate $350 per month.

I didn't think I was going to get past $350 for a while, but then things picked up and I scored my second highest month on record, $530.97.

Here’s a rough breakdown (highlighting the higher earners) by revenue stream for January:
Adsense: $31.34
Kontera: $17.57
Reviews: $105
Commission Junction: $14.70
LinkWorth: $15.45
Shopzilla: $338.97

It's early days with Shopzilla, and I'm not sure if they can sustain that level for long, but it's nice while it lasts!

2. Develop Swollen Pickles to the point where it receives 30,000 unique visits per month.

Nearly cracked the 30,000 mark in February with 28,840 unique visitors stopping by, up from the 17,099 in January. I'm fairly happy with that result as it is close to one thousand unique visitors a day.

3. Develop Digital Burn into a website that can generate $150 per month.

Not a bad month for DigitalBurn, bringing in $121.03. This was largely courtesy of the Commission Junction sales generated by the phpBay Pro WordPress Plugin. In February I made $73.52 from this channel, more than covering the $49 the plugin cost me. Factor another $25 or so I made from other sites using the same plugin and I doubled my investment in the first month alone. Based on it's performance so far, I'd highly recommend picking up the plugin whilst it is still $49. Find out more about phpBay Pro here.

4. Develop Digital Burn to the point where it receives 15,000 unique visits per month.

There were 12,734 unique visitors to the site in February, up slightly from 12,164 in January. Not bad I guess.

5. Develop Motor Dude into a website that can generate $50 per month.

Well, $55.09 was made from MotorDude.com, thanks largely to a ReviewMe review.

6. Develop Motor Dude to the point where it receives 7,500 unique visits per month.

Disappointing month visits wise with only 2,779 people checking it out.

7. Achieve my goal weight of 85kgs.

99kg :(
