Whilst I haven't used PayPerPost on this site all that much recently, I'm still using it on another site and to put it bluntly, PayPerPost effectively funded my Xbox 360 purchase.

Paid posting is a balancing act. Do too much and you'll likely alienate your readers, and perhaps attract unwanted attention from the big 'G', however, if you can find the right balance it can be highly profitable. Personally, I've past the $1,000 USD mark since signing up, and the current leading earner on the PayPerPost leader board has made of $20,000 USD.

Go sign up and make yourself a quick $20.

I've taken up the Blogpond cuss-o-meter challenge, and the result are in... drum roll... no really... I'm not going to reveal the results until I get my drum roll dammit!...
ok... be like that... whatever...

It seems I'm not quite an angel, but at the same time, I'm not Gordon F**KING Ramsey either.

Here's the official results... SwollenPickles.com contains a 'Medium' amount of 'cussing'.

The Blog-O-Cuss Meter - Do you cuss a lot in your blog or website?
Created by OnePlusYou

Personally, I have no problems with swearing on blogs, on TV, or in movies and songs.

More importantly, thanks to taking the cuss-o-meter challenge, I was also able to determine 'How many cannibals my body could feed'. According to this scientific test, 18 cannibals could dine out on the fine beef that is me.

Interesting, now I wonder how many cannibals Gordon F**KING Ramsey could feed?

I went into Iron Man on the weekend with low expectations. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Iron Man or the Tony Stark character, and I also have trouble watching Robert Downey Jnr. My one hope with Iron Man, was that I would not walk out of the cinema as disappointed as I had been after seeing Ghost Rider. Fortunately, Iron Man exceeded my low expectations.

Iron Man is very much an 'origin' type movie. It goes about introducing characters and back story, and in many ways sets up everything required for numerous sequels. Think the first Spider-man film or Batman Begins. It's perfect for those with no prior knowledge of the character, and works as a big dumb action movie you can sit through whilst eating a whole bucket of popcorn or wheel of cheese.

If I were to break the plot down into bite size chunks, it'd go as follows:

  • Millionaire weapons developer, Tony Stark is kidnapped by terrorists (or his customers);
  • Tony Stark develops the first version of the Iron Man costume to escape from captivity;
  • Following escape, Tony Stark realises he's not cut out for the weapons business so decides to help people... by building the Iron Man armour, that is later described as the worlds ultimate weapon;
  • Stark struggles with the threat of a hostile takeover within his company as well as growing sexual tension with his assistant, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow);
  • Stark's company goes on selling weapons behind his back, and begin developing an Iron Man armour of there own, based on the first version Stark used to escape;
  • Big explosions, some fighting, and Iron Man vs. some kind of bigger Iron Dude; and
  • Ending that leaves things wide open for a sequel.
  • Iron Man was an enjoyable movie. Good if you're not in the mood for too much thinking, and just want to see action and stuff blowing up. I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5.

    In other comic book related news, check out the latest trailer for the Dark Knight movie. I watched this, and then had to have a little sit down. If this doesn't get you harder than a diamond in a snow storm, then nothing will... July 17...

    April flew by. Can't say I'm satisfied with the progress I made in April, with some disappointing results across the board. Here’s the update.

    1. Develop Swollen Pickles into a website that can generate $350 per month.

    Declining fortunes in April, dollar wise, with total revenue brought in via SwollenPickles.com coming in at $246.56, down from $308.40 in March.

    Here’s a rough breakdown:
    Adsense: $26.58
    Kontera: $11.10
    WidgetBucks: $0.50
    LinkWorth: $56.00

    Shopzilla.com

    : $150.29
    Misc: $2.59

    WidgetBucks earning were right down this month, largely due to me all but removing them to make way for some
    Shopzilla.com

    ads. LinkWorth continued to perform well, and I'd say it's well worth a look.

    I can't really add this to the total, but I've made $5.78 already from Predictify from predictions I've made that have come true.

    2. Develop Swollen Pickles to the point where it receives 30,000 unique visits per month.

    April was a massive traffic month for SwollenPickles.com. There were 39,445 unique visits in April, smashing the March mark of 24,448. A big part of this had to do with the Gordon Ramsey recipe post getting stumbled.

    3. Develop Digital Burn into a website that can generate $150 per month.

    Digital Burn continues to struggle, making $65.80 in April, up from $61.59 in March. A majority of this income came from AdSense.

    4. Develop Digital Burn to the point where it receives 15,000 unique visits per month.

    There were 10,544 unique visitors to DigitalBurn.org in April, down again from March (11,784). I had another slack month in that I didn't provide many updates at all.

    5. Develop Motor Dude into a website that can generate $50 per month.

    MotorDude.com made $24.17 in April, up from $23.63 in March but still not hitting the mark. Again, this one is suffering from a lack of attention.

    6. Develop Motor Dude to the point where it receives 7,500 unique visits per month.

    Another sad motoring month with 1,625 unique visits down slightly from 1,660 in March.

    7. Achieve my goal weight of 85kgs.

    Need new batteries for the scales.
