Sex sells boring hunk of metal on eBay
Some people will go to great lengths to set their products apart from the competition on eBay. Take this auction for example.
You'd think a search for guitar parts would yield innocent enough results. Well check out how this character has gone all out to promote his "Fender USA Tele Strat Neck Plate & Screws" auction. For those unfamiliar with guitar parts a neck plate is basically a piece of metal used to attach the neck to the body of the guitar. It's not very exciting... until you use 'sex' to sell it!
If you scroll through the auction listing you'll pick up a very distinct 1970's porn vibe. It's like someone has dug through their grand dads porn collection, compiled a 'best of' and decided that black and white softcore porn would provide the perfect counter point for a piece of metal.
