There are now a large number of Aussie blogs using EntreCard. We are a small, but active bunch. I try to 'drop' my card on as many Aussie Bloggers as I can, kind of like an ocker community service, but often lack motivation due to the time it takes. That's why I'm rapt to have uncovered this little trick for speeding up the process. Previously I'd just been using a list of blogs to visit and drop on, this involved opening each individually and as time went by some sites stopped using EntreCard, some sites took ages to load, and some new sites came on board. With this method, you can load up a heap of fellow EntreCard users sites, and start sharing the love quickly and painlessly.

The concept is simple enough, and only takes about 2 minutes to set up and then you're good to go. So, let's get into it. For this to work, you're probably going to need Firefox (that's all I've tested it in), so if you haven't downloaded Firefox, go and download it via the button below, then head on back.

How to speed drop via the bookmark list

1. Download this text file or copy/paste it into notepad and save it to your hard drive.

2. Open Firefox. Select Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks. Then select File > Import.

3. Now select "From File" (as seen in screenshot below). Now browse and select the text file you downloaded or saved in step 1, and click Open.

4. The bookmark list should now have been successfully added to your Firefox browser. Restart Firefox.

5. Open Firefox. Select Bookmarks. You should now see a folder labelled "Aussie EntreCard Droppers" with sub folders labelled "Round 1", "Round 2" etc. Now right click on one of these folders and select "Open in all tabs". Now 10 other EntreCard users websites will open up at the same time in seperate tabs, saving you a lot of time, and making the daily drop an easier task.

This first version includes around 45 EntreCard users from the Aussie Bloggers Forum, but I intend that it be something that evolves over time. So check back for updates.

Although I've called it the "Aussie EntreCard Droppers" list, I'm willing to open this up to other people, via application, however, I'd prefer not to add any overly 'spammy' looking sites. How do you know if your site is too 'spammy'? Well, if you have to ask, then the answer is probably yes.
