Code4Gold.com is one of the webmaster forums I stop in on every now and then. Today Dave, who looks after the Best Affiliate Programs blog, posted a number of questions regarding the ClickBooth network.

It seems to me that affiliates are so polarized and partisan on this program that they forget to include any details for those of us who are not affiliate yet.

Seeing as though no one seemed to have any answers for him, I thought I'd have a go at answering his questions. Please note, that these answers are largely based on my own opinion, with some help from the ClickBooth FAQs.

What type of advertisers does ClickBooth have? Are they general audience or adult related?

The mix of advertisers that ClickBooth has is similar to competitors such as Commission Junction and the Pepperjam Network, although the volume of advertisers is not as high as either of those two.

Do they offer lead based commissions as well as action commissions

From what I understand they offer both, however a majority of advertisers seem to use the pay per lead model.

Do they allow casino related affiliates?

They do seem to allow casino/gambling related affiliates, although there are not hundreds of them. Here's an example of a Backgammon program I found that is currently paying $1.80/lead.

What are the payment terms, ie: Net-15, Net-30, etc...

ClickBooth have two payment schedules, Net 15 (meaning a check is sent 15 days after the end of the month.) is the default, however you can request Net 7 (meaning a check is sent the Monday after the end of the week) is available upon request if publishers meet the minimum requirement of $1500/week.

What is the payment distribution method?

Currently ClickBooth pay by check or PayPal.

Do they have a referral program like PJN, AdBrite, NBA, Chitika, Bidvertiser?

Yes, they have a "Super" referral program. Here's an example of the referral link: Clickbooth - Make Money! I have a grand total of zero "super" referrals, so at the moment I can't really tell you what is so super about their referral system.

Do they assign you an AM (Account Manager) ?

They have "Senior Affiliate Strategists" whose contact details are displayed on your dashboard.

Do they publish a phone number contact that is easily locatable?

Yes. Top right of the dashboard.

Do they have a contact system (or chat) like PJN has?

Yes. You can chat to them via AIM.

What sets them apart from other networks?

To be blunt, not a lot really. That's not to say that they are bad though, but based on my initial look at them, there is nothing that they are really doing better or worse than their competitors. I'd look at ClickBooth as another arrow in your quiver, or another equally deep metaphor, rather than a replacement to other programs.

ClickBooth is relatively easy to use, and it looks as though it is built on a very similar backend to that of Market Leverage.

Have I made money with ClickBooth?

Yes I have. I haven't made a fortune, however with next to no promotion I managed just a nudge over $20 last month.

No worries Kris. For what it’s worth, I find Pepperjam to be one of the easiest programs to use.

Pretty nice review on Clickbooth. I am actually a publisher with the company, and all the experience I have had with them thus far has consistently been positive. They have been extremely helpful and easy to work with, and I love that their support crew is always available on AIM when I need them. I’m glad to see the review, and also glad to know that I am working with a great network.
