I loved this film, especially in comparison to the horrible live action movies. I was not too crazy about the crappy romance in there, and was slightly disappointed that Claire didn't do very much, especially near the end. It kind of follows the trend in the games that she's not that important (ie Wesker's reports describe the action of RE2 as being all Leon's doing with Claire not even mentioned, and in RE:CVX Chris has to come in and save her). I'm very happy with this movie, despite it's obvious problems. I especially like this review, because even though you haven't played the games, your review was less biased and more...intelligent sounding than many of the other reviews I've found on the internet. Half the people don't even know what they're talking about. For example, when someone complains about the lip-syncing, everyone and their mothers jump on them saying "well the movie was made in Japanese first so that's why", despite the fact that the movie was made in ENGLISH, to preserve the feelings of the games (which in Japan are English audio with Japanese subtitles).

If it makes you feel any better, I;ve played most of the games and I still got confused near the end a little bit. Still better than the live action movies IMO though.

@chicago salon equipment

Did you really watch this movie? I'm not sure what "real" Resident Evil is but the film is set in the same universe as the game and takes place after Resident Evil 4, the game.

I've also removed your url from your comment. Let's be honest, chicago salon equipment sounds a little bit 'spammy' don't you think? I changed your anchor text to alabama pickle equipment.

I watched this film. First of all, it has nothing common with real Resident Evil except creatures. I really didn't like this movie.
