I’ve just finished ploughing through the first season of Dexter, and I have to say, this is one show that is deserving of the hype. The first season features 12 episodes, each running a touch over 50 mins, but each one leaves you wanting more.
Dexter is a forensics expert working for the Miami Police Department. [...]

For a moment, watching the second one day international final between Australia and India last night, you may have been forgiven for thinking you’d tuned into the football, or ice hockey.
Yes, Australia lost the match, and the final series, but the match will arguably be remember for two things. Firstly, it was cricketing legend, Adam [...]

The recent Sydney Test Match between Australia and India has proven that cricket is not necessarily a “gentlemen’s” sport. The 5 day match managed to stir up a lot of controversy in a very short period. It started with some dodgy umpiring decisions and ended with allegations of racism, with Harbhajan Singh allegedly calling Australia’s [...]

The IT Crowd is one of those British comedy gems that pops up out of the blue every now and then. As the name suggests, it’s geek humor at its finest. Personally, I find it freakin hilarious.
If you haven’t seen it, the show centers around two IT Support technicians and their technologically challenged boss, working [...]

Well I missed this whole sh!t storm that blew up between Today Tonight and Chasers War on Everything, which is a shame because the newspaper reports actually made it sound quite interesting. Thankfully some wacky young kids invented YouTube, because I was able to find the Today Tonight story there.

Given that I’ve just discovered a new plugin, I think it’s time I revisited one of my earliest posts. Battle of the Battlestar Galactica Cyclons dared to take on the big issues.
Here’s the summary version:
Of the two hot Cylons from Battlestar Galactica, who is hotter, Cylon Sharon (Grace Park), or Cylon No.6 (Tricia Helfer)? Although [...]

This weekend I sat down and watched a stack of old Chappelle Show episodes. Damn that show is awesome. I really miss it… *sniff*… “What did the the five fingers say to the face?… SLAP!”
Now I’m going to attempt to bring joy to the people this Monday by sharing some of my favourite Chappelle Show [...]

I hope no one here got too engrossed in the new Hugh Jackman, musical drama series, Viva Laughlin. Just saw channel nine advertising ‘Two Weeks Notice’ as this coming Monday’s movie for the 8.30pm timeslot. That wasn’t a great sign, seeing the show bumped after it’s first episode. So I did a quick search, and [...]

There aren’t that many ads that I see on TV that I can say I truly like. These two ads for Skittles are the exceptions. Brilliant, if somewhat bizarre, ads. Simple executions, that really cut through thanks largely to their overall oddness.

I’m guessing this young lady won’t be visiting Swollen Pickles any time soon. She goes on national television to declare her “deathly fear” of pickles. This is one of the more bizarre clips of footage I’ve seen.
People have phobias about all kinds of stuff, but pickles??? Pickles??? If you’ve never seen a day time talk [...]

If you were the one person in the country that hasn’t seen the Chasers War on everything “APEC stunt” here it is in all of its glory. Besides the ridiculousness of it all, I can’t say I found it all that funny. I’d describe it as bizarre rather than out right funny.
