The lazy guys guide to making money online

I'm not an internet marketing guru. I don't demand huge sums of money to appear at seminars. I don't sell my own e-book. I don't know much, if anything, about SEO. I'm not a programmer, professional web designer or millionaire. Here's what I am. I am an average dude who set up a blog in a moment of sheer boredom. After reading various articles and forum posts I started to learn about all the different tools that I could use on my blog to make a little extra cash online. What I'll do here, is provide a list of all the programs I've signed up for and used to generate some extra cash. I'd recommend using at least 3 of the programs outline below in combination with one another.

1. eBay Parter Network
My current number one earner is the eBay affiliate program. I use phpBay Pro to quickly integrate ebay auctions into my WordPress blogs.

From the site:

phpBay Pro is the premiere Ebay Affiliate software tool for generating real affiliate marketing income. With phpBay Pro, you can quickly and easily add rich keyword based content to your php driven website or Wordpress blog to compliment your existing content and encourage visitors to impulsively buy products from your site.

phpBay Pro is a powerful tool that easily integrates into your website to allow you to display Ebay auctions on your website. When a user clicks on a product and places a winning bid, you receive a commission from Ebay. Additionally, if a user signs up for a new Ebay account, you receive a bonus! With over 80,000,000 products on Ebay, you can easily add virtually any type of product to your site and start earning revenue today!

2. WidgetBucks

Earn $$ with WidgetBucks! The new kid on the block, WidgetBucks is certainly looking like a proven performer. Apparently it is similar in function to Chikita but I've never used that so I can't comment. All I know is that it's delivering a healthy CPM and it's got a very solid affiliate program. If I was starting out again from scratch, WidgetBucks would be the second program I'd sign up for without thinking.

3. PayPerPost

If I had to recommend just two online programs to join to make money, then they would be Adsense and PayPerPost. In terms of Swollen Pickles, PayPerPost brings in roughly 55-60% of the revenue. PayPerPost allows you to get paid for blogging. With PayPerPost advertisers are willing to pay you for your opinion on various topics. Search through a list of opportunities, make a blog posting, get your content approved, and get paid. It's that simple. To join the program, your blog must be at least 3 months old.

Recent changes to PayPerPost now means that higher priced opportunities are available to you the higher the page rank of your blog is. Paid opportunities range from $5 to $1000 (although to take that you need a PR8). The referral program is also generous, and they now offer a "get paid to review my post" option so that visitors can use one of your posts as their first up PayPerPost opportunity. This means that the site owner and reviewer both earn cash. Win-win! If you would like to join PayPerPost, click on image above.

4. Link Worth

I joined Link Worth a while back and it offers a number of ways to make money, including paid postings and selling ads. They also allow you to set your price which can be a very good thing!

5. Email Cash

Email Cash is a nice little program if you want to earn some money by filling out online surveys and that sort of thing. Probably wont make you a millionaire, but it's a nice one to get into if you have a bit of time to kill.

6. Review Me
Review Me – Write Reviews for Cash!
I've only recently signed up the Review Me program. To be honest I haven't made anything from Review Me yet, but I'm sure the big name sites could do quite well with it. One of the big problems I have with Review Me program is that you don't have the ability to set your price. At the moment a Review from Swollen Pickles is charged out at $60 (although I'd only see half of that). But, you never know, if you have a large, rabid audience, it may work for you!

7. Amazon Affiliate Program
The Amazon Affiliate Program is a good way to generate revenue if your running a website that focuses on music, movie or book reviews. Post a link to the product from Amazon and earn a commission for every referred sale. Too easy. This would work best for high traffic sites. You can get an idea of what it looks like by checking out my side bar and checking out the music reviews section. In terms of Swollen Pickles, this is by far my lowest earner. Enough said.
